A western red cedar bookcase with 4 bookshelves, a large full-width bottom drawer, a row of two smaller drawers and a cabinet section with three doors that span the width of the case.This bookcase was milled, joined and crafted using only hand tools and traditional wood joinery. The case and fronts are crafted from western red cedar. It is joined at the top with dovetails and the shelves and drawer housings are either pinned into rabbets with walnut dowels, or with through mortise and tenons which are then splined. All the drawers are dovetailed with pine sides, solid wood bottoms and custom turned walnut knobs. The back is hand crafted tongue and groove made from solid pine, finished in several coats of matte black with a final coat of dead flat overcoat. All hardware, hinges for the cabinets and screws for the back are brass. The entire cabinet is finished with 5 coats of hand-rubbed finished with a final beeswax polish.The case is 32" wide, 14" deep and 72" high. The piece was designed and crafted by Marc Springer a furniture maker in Woodland Hills, California.

A low profile, free-standing redwood bookcase with two-shelves and three drawers. The middle shelf of the bookcase has 3 small drawers on the left hand side. The bookcase has a satin sheen and you can see that the back of the shelves behind the books is a solid black matte finish. It is a long bookcase with a low profile. It is 58" wide, 10 1/2 deep and 29" tall. this bookcase was milled, joined and crafted using only hand tools and traditional wood joinery. It has 5 coats of hand rubbed finish for a satin sheen. The piece was designed and crafted by Marc Springer a furniture maker in Woodland Hills, California.

3/4 view of a free standing chest of drawers with a small cabinet space as well. The front of the cabinet has 8 drawers and the cabinet door. The cabinet is 36" high, 15" deep and 50" wide. It is made from reclaimed redwood. It is completely crafted by hand without power tools using only traditional joinery and techniques. It has 5 coats of hand rubbed finish for a satin sheen.
