Description
This case was milled, joined and crafted using only hand tools and traditional wood joinery. The case and fronts are hand crafted from recycled redwood. It is joined at the top with dovetails and the drawer housings are pinned into the side of the case using sliding dovetails. All the drawers are dovetailed with pine sides, solid pine bottoms and custom turned walnut knobs. The back is hand worked tongue and groove made from solid pine, finished in several coats of matte black with a final coat of dead flat overcoat. The hinges for the cabinet and screws for the back are solid brass. The entire cabinet is finished with 5 coats of hand-rubbed finished with a final beeswax polish.
