Commissions

I am available for commissions.

I am a hand tool woodworker in a strict sense. This means I do not use power tools. Because of that, my work is better suited to one-of-a-kind stand alone pieces where the focus is on the craftsmanship and the intrinsic qualities of a hand made piece that are not, or cannot be typically achieved when using power equipment.

If you are interested in more information from me and would like to send me an outline of the type of piece you may want for yourself, or a client, you can reach me through my “Contact” page.

This is a close up image of the the drawer fronts of large dresser made from western red cedar. It shows the fronts of the drawers have been "pillowed" which is a technique that creates a soft, dimensional look to the drawer fronts. It also shows that the drawer rails and stiles are faceted and joined using dados. The piece is entirely handmade using only hand tools by Los Angeles woodworker and furniture maker Marc Springer

Information about pricing.

Before we continue it’s important to note that custom furniture typically can cost between $3,500 for a smaller less intricate piece and up to $15,000 for something larger. Costs can be greater depending on intricacy, types of wood, design and finishes.

Please keep this in mind when requesting an estimate.
