Made from clear, Western Red Cedar with pine back, drawer sides and bottoms. It is milled, joined and crafted using traditional hand tools, not hand power tools. The case assembly uses through mortises, doweled rabbets and custom shiplap construction for the back. All of the drawers are hand dovetailed. The knobs are hand turned on a lathe and are custom. The entire dresser has 4 coast of hand rubbed soap finish. Soap finish is an organic finish made from unscented soap flakes and water. It is a traditional finish used in Scandinavia on floors and furniture as well as Danish furniture. The back exterior and interior is finish with flat black paint with flat top coat.
